UGRB Ozone Nonattainment Area Request for Redesignation - Public Input

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality - Air Quality Division (Division) is initiating efforts to undertake a Request for Redesignation to Attainment and Maintenance Plan for the Upper Green River Basin (UGRB) Marginal Nonattainment Area for the 2008 Ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards. The Division will undertake this plan in accordance with the requirements specified in Section 110 and Part D of the Clean Air Act, as well as the requirements specified in "Implementation of the 2008 National Ambient Air Quality Standards for Ozone: State Implementation Plan Requirements" (80 Federal Register 12264).


The development of a Request for Redesignation and Maintenance Plan is an extensive process involving significant technical and regulatory work, as well as outreach to interested parties to inform the planning process. This specific SmartComment portal will serve as the official platform for members of the public to submit input regarding the Division's efforts to undertake a Request for Redesignation and Maintenance Plan for the UGRB.

Please provide any input or information that you would like to share to inform the Division's efforts to compile and submit a Request for Redesignation to Attainment and Maintenance Plan for the UGRB Nonattainment Area for the 2008 Ozone NAAQS. This comment portal will remain open indefinitely for submitting public input while the Division is in the process of developing its Request for Redesignation and Maintenance Plan.


NOTE: A formal public notice and comment process will precede the submittal of a finalized Request for Redesignation and Maintenance Plan and will be noticed as such when Division has compiled a complete version. This particular portal is specifically for submitting preliminary input to inform the Division's efforts for developing a Request for Redesignation and Maintenance Plan.
